Social media influencer, YouTube icon and self-proclaimed HVAC business owner Lane Myers had his motion to change probation conditions denied on Tuesday after a lengthy hearing where Myers represented himself to present the motion he filed back in June of this year.
Our own JudyYouGotThis was on hand to deliver a firsthand account of the proceedings. She noted that YouTuber and Myers supporter Tucson Toe Tag was present in the court room, as he had been for previous hearings in this case.
The hearing started with Judge D. Douglas Metcalf giving an apology of sorts to Myers as he said that he was unaware of how Pima County officially handled audio transcripts when a stenographer was present in court.
The Judge said that Myers was correct when he complained last week that because a stenographer was present, the audio recording of the previous press hearing would be discarded. He then reaffirmed that Myers would be presented with a written transcript of that hearing with Pima County paying for the transcription services.
The stenographer was present in the courtroom for Tuesday’s hearing.
Judge Metcalf informed the parties that he was provided with and reviewed disclosure from the Adult Probation department about Myers’ activity while on probation. The Court did not retain copies of that disclosure and Myers’ attorney, Mark “The Shark” Resnick said he would make copies of the original documents and distribute them to the prosecution.
The attorneys then conferred about the prosecution’s revised response to Resnick’s recently filed motion to dismiss. Both parties agreed that the newly filed documents adequately addressed Resnick’s concerns that brought about the motion to dismiss the bond revocation hearing.
Myers then objected to the information contained in a Memorandum filed by the Probation Department, which had been entered into the court record.
Attorney Myers, representing social media influencer Myers, also requested a refund of his monthly probation fees that he had paid in advance for the entirety of his probation. He stated that he needed the money to pay bills. This request was denied by Judge Metcalf.
According to JudyYouGotThis, Myers seemed ill-prepared to present his motion to modify bond conditions due to the format that the Judge used during the hearing. Myers wanted to present his motion in its entirety, instead, he was peppered with questions about the four charges he wanted changed and why he felt that they were “unconstitutional.”
Myers stumbled after each question, as he was not prepared to cite cases that were about limiting freedom of speech during a probationary period. Myers claimed that there weren’t any other cases of this nature as no Judge would be “stupid enough” to impose such conditions.

Myers would get through his presentation and back and forth with the Judge for about an hour. He ended by presenting his screen shots of the Lane Myers Returns Forum on the ReallyCoolNewsWire server, which he claimed supported the idea that hundreds of people were participating in a conspiracy to report his actions to his parole officer.
Following a brief presentation by the Prosecution, Judge Metcalf affirmed Myers’ conditions of probation and affirmed that the Probation Violation hearing was scheduled for August 11.
Myers then demanded that the Judge impose a gag order on the case as he did not want to pick up new charges for talking about the victim or her husband. The Court denied the request.
Some time after the hearing, Myers’ spokesperson Andrea “Illuminate the Dark” Dotson released the following statement to her YouTube community page:
