YouTuber Audit Them, the auditor who asks you to audit them, livestreamed an announcement on Thursday that there was an arrest warrant for Dave “Doctor Dave” Coulter in the State of Illinois following Coulter’s alleged violation of a protective order.
Audit Them and Coulter have been legendary rivals in the First Amendment auditing community for several years. Coulter has been known for his crude comments and all-American persona (circa 1983), while Audit Them has been known for his shambling auditing style, insults and bizarre auditing style, often focusing on little known laws on the books in the Cook County, Illinois area.
Over the past year, Audit Them sought and obtained a protective order against Coulter that sought to stop Coulter from creating videos about Audit Them or his family. The protective order was also apparently served on YouTube which resulted in YouTube blocking the Coulter’s channel from being viewed by those in the United States.
YouTube, however, did not block the content of both of those channels in the United States. All videos housed on those channels are freely available. Coulter has also been able to post videos to the channel, including videos on Audit Them and his family members, through unknown means.
Audit Them explained a chaotic situation on Thursday where he was set to have a civil hearing in his on-going efforts against Coulter at the same time as a criminal hearing in which he was seeking a warrant for Coulter’s arrest. He displayed a summons that was allegedly served on Coulter in June, notifying him of the hearing.
Coulter apparently chose to appear remotely at the civil hearing and claimed that the case against him was dismissed as Audit Them did not show up to the civil hearing. Audit Them would resolve the issue where he was double booked and by approaching the civil judges and explaining what had happened. A new hearing in that case has been set for early August.
Audit Them insisted that a warrant has now been issued for Coulter in Illinois, and that Coulter would be required to surrender his guns. He claimed that Coulter, who lives in Ohio, will be arrested if he enters Illinois.
He also added that Coulter may also be arrested in Ohio should he be pulled over for a traffic infraction as Coulter is known routinely carry guns in his vehicle. Audit Them recently reported Coulter to Ohio police after Coulter announced he had weapons in his vehicle while he was on the way to a hospital for blood work. Police searched Coulter at the hospital over the accusations that he had made “threats” towards the hospital and no one was charged in that incident.
Audit Them then went into an attack on Coulter’s fans, warning that sexualized comments about a photo of his sister that was presented to the public by Coulter may face criminal charges for sexualizing a minor. He explained that he had technology to record all of a YouTube user’s commentary across the service for the past four years and would be using his extensive logs to help prosecute those who made such comments.
No proof was shown that he had this ability and the YouTuber continued his promises to prosecute Coulter and Coulter’s followers until the end of the broadcast.
This is a continuing news story.
