Christopher “Denver Metro Audits” Cordova conjured memories of Floyd Wallace on Tuesday as he and auditor Police the Police, who was dressed as an extra from a science fiction movie, successfully performed a second amendment audit outside of an abandoned business in downtown Sheridan, Colorado, without arrest.

Cordova went live from outside the abandoned restaurant in Sheridan, a few feet away from a Sheridan vehicle used to photograph speeders along a busy road in the city. Police the Police was dressed in a full body white painter’s smock and a welding mask and was carrying a rifle as he walked up and down the sidewalk outside the abandoned business.

The YouTuber explained that he started his live after police were summoned to the scene when Cordova filmed Police the Police. This incident itself brought back memories of similar incidents where jailed YouTuber Floyd “News Now Omaha” Wallace, would dress in a similar fashion outside of police stations and fire departments and provoke an arrest in the name of first amendment auditing.

Multiple police patrol cars arrived on the scene and police officer gently approached the auditors to inquire what was going on. Police the Police, while refusing to take his mask off, told the police that he was performing a second amendment audit and he had the right to open carry his rifle in Sheridan.

Sheridan is a suburb of Denver that allows open carrying, as does most of the state, while Denver has strict rules about the open carrying of firearms within city limits.

The police continued their questioning of the YouTuber while Denver Metro Audits filmed, apparently assessing him as not a threat and explained why people were a bit freaked out by his appearance and why they would question why he was carrying a rifle.

With an observes six offers on scene, the interaction resolved without incident to the surprise of Cordova, who noted that the men approached Police the Police calmly and handled the scene “appropriately” in his eyes.

Cordova and Police the Police would commend the officers for their response and shake hands with each officer as the situation resolved itself and the auditors left the area surrounding the police photography vehicle.

Cordova had previously targeted the vehicle and has paid at least one fine for interfering with the camera by standing in front of it. One of the more memorable incidents involving the photography vehicle saw Cordova, who was joined by then girlfriend Theresa “Sweet T” Neal and Regan Benson, get into an altercation with a former Sheridan city council member.

The City Council member stepped in front of the trio’s cameras as they attempted to surround the police photography vehicle and had an extended screaming match with Sweet T before leaving the scene.

Cordova himself has been slowly returning to live audits after a 2024 conviction for actions in 2023 at a Social Security Administration building. The YouTuber’s probation for that incident recently ended early and the YouTuber has been returning to the profession, with a more timid approach to his encounters with authorities.

Tuesday’s interaction saw no arrests or warnings to the first amendment auditors by police and resolved without incident.
