An increasingly paranoid Regan Benson live streamed at the Englewood Police Station on Thursday in her quest for a police report on a camper that apparently had been confiscated by police that she had seen parked outside the facility last week.
The YouTuber spent the first 50 minutes of the broadcast sitting in her car waiting out a passing rainstorm and making fun of citizens who were parking their cars in a nearby parking garage to avoid dangerous hail that had been forecasted for the area Thursday afternoon.
Benson ridiculed drivers for protecting their cars while risking the hail as they had to walk back to their homes before turning her attention to the recent submersible accident at the Titanic wreck site. The YouTuber belittled those who would want to risk a journey to the wreck site and made fun of those who had died in the incident.
As she walked into the facility, she received a phone call from a homeless man known as “Cowboy.” Benson updated viewers as to his status, claiming that Denver did not have services in the area to house him so they were now paying for a hotel some two hours away from easily accessible services.
After the delay for the storm and the phone call, Benson leisurely approached the service window and was informed that the facility had closed for the day. An enraged Benson demanded a supervisor as the worker could not help her, and the worker informed her that David LeClair, Englewood Police’s Division Chief of Support Services, would soon be out to help her.
Benson sat in the lobby muttering to herself and using the bathroom for several minutes before writing a note to staff, “Dear Englewood PD and Chief Watson, Since your window staff thought that they were more important at 4:05PM on 6/22/23 than helping a customer who waited out the rain before coming inside and mistakenly took a phone call from a homeless man that you yourselves have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars criminalizing out of Englewood… please consider this formal communication for a CRCJ records act case report. Please provide access and copy of police report 2304353 Office Hugh. Please provide written communication when the report is available, and I will graciously return at my own expense to retrieve the report. Consider my signature on this form to (fulfill) the signature requirement for this form.”
Benson, after deciding not to wait for LeClair or a supervisor, entered the outer lobby area and used a service phone for help. She was informed by the 911 dispatcher who answered her call that LeClair had left the building to help with flooding in the area that had trapped drivers in their cars.
The YouTuber stormed out of the facility and had her side chat check to see if there were news reports on the flooding. One of her chat members informed her of a water main break and she drove to the reported location of the break, not finding it and ended the live stream declaring that Englewood’s incompetence wasted her afternoon.
