The GoFundMe for Eric Trujillo’s electric wheelchair and ORCAM visual assistant device saw a significant boost in funds Thursday night as Jose “Chille” DeCastro held another live stream in its honor.
Raising roughly $600 towards the goal of $7250, DeCastro took funds from friend and foe alike, offering “Trolls” a chance to have their negative comments towards him read on the live stream for a $10 donation towards his CashApps.
While DeCastro was initially cordial about the offer, he reminded his trolls that he would sue them if they continued to tell lies about him. He then announced he would be filing suit against someone who reported that he had a warrant in Henderson, Nevada, this week.
DeCastro did not mention his significant setback in his civil case out of California on Thursday but did highlight his victory over a ticket for using his cell phone in Apple Valley, California, and pondered if he should go ahead with his lawsuit against the Apple Valley Police Department.
The YouTuber also announced that YouTube had denied his request for a silver “play” button, indicating that he was ineligible for the award. DeCastro had been pursuing the award for weeks now, after staggering growth propelled him from 100,000 subscribers to 168,000 subscribers in the first few months of 2023.
