[Full Disclosure: Attorney Lane Myers, representing YouTuber Lane Myers has directly threatened ReallyCoolNews with both a lawsuit and an injunction based on our current reporting.]

On Monday, June 29, 2026, “Attorney” Lane Myers, representing his client, Lane Myers, made his final response to his motion to modify his probation conditions following last week’s response by the Prosecutor’s office, in which Myers made a half-hearted effort to defend his filing.

Myers started the document by complaining that the e-filing system waited 24 hours after the prosecutor filed her reply with the court to release the court documents to the public. He then quoted from his plea hearing that named his victim twice and described the two counts he was facing.

From there, he wrote:

At the time of sentencing the court cited 2 cases it believed gave it the power to set the current special conditions of probation, the State is now citing one of those cases again. Neither of these cases have anything to do with the facts of Myers case, and in fact support Myers positions to the fullest as addressed below.

In State v. Kessler, 199 Ariz. 83 (App. 2000), the Court of Appeals found that ‘“Courts have consistently upheld imposition of conditions of probation that restrict a defendant’s freedom of speech and association when those conditions bear a reasonable relationship to the goals of probation.’” Kessler, 199 Ariz. at ¶ 21 (citations omitted).

Myers continued that the state cited another case “that does nothing but support the position of Myers that these conditions of probation have been unlawful since day 1 of his probation term.” However, he did not cite the case or provide backing for his statement.

He then went on to state that he was not a “child molester,” presumably in reference to the unspecified case, and that he had no intention of contacting his victim or encouraging others to contact his victim.

Myers goes on to state that there is no government interest in blocking him from mentioning or speaking about his victim and asks, “is Myers supposed to pretend the entire criminal prosecution, and his unlawful imprisonment did not happen?”

Continuing the child molestation theme, Myers argues that there is no lawful basis for restrictions of his speech and the treatment he has received as conditions of his probation.

Strangely, Myers would go on to admit that friend Josh “ThisIsaPublicService” Gray had been actively reposting Myers’ videos on his YouTube channel “for the past year” and argued that “it was not an issue in any way until Myers filed his motion to modify.”

Myers was restricted from contacting Gray during his probation. He stated that the restriction was not legal, as “You can not restrict someone from speaking to their own friend.”

His arguments end by stating that the victim needed to remove her information from her work’s website if she wanted privacy and asserted that he had not used his victim’s name. Ending with:

Myers plans to present substantial evidence at the hearing that there is a significant interest in Myers case even without his contribution to public discourse. Myers must be allowed to participate in the free expression of his opinions, and distribution of public information to 3rd parties. This Court must Modify Myers conditions of Probation to protect his clearly established rights.

Despite Myers’ claims, he posted the victim’s name in a partially obscured graphic during two livestreams over the weekend which he has since removed from his YouTube channel. At one point, leaving the graphic up for an extended period as he played Jewel’s “Who will save your soul?” in the background.

Myers himself seems to have been behind his “significant interest” in the case, as he began to attack those who would discuss his case following an article by ReallyCoolNews earlier this month and a mention on a video by Merb34st.

The replies by Myers on both resulted in an average of 50 concurrent viewers to Myers’ multiple livestreams over the past week, 25 viewers to the livestreams where he is mentioned by ReallyCoolNews (not above average viewership) and a total of five articles this year on Myers, which received an average of 500 views when posted in video form on YouTube.

Myers joined a forum on the ReallyCoolNewsWire server and had an active discussion with two patrons of the forum, which he screen shotted and presented on a recent livestream as absolute proof of an area that was actively plotting against him.

He followed by attacking ReallyCoolNews court observer JudyYouGotThis on a livestream last week, defacing a screen shot of her face with an obscene graphic. Then displayed his victim’s name multiple times during his now deleted livestreams over the weekend.

The “significant interest” in his case has resulted in a total of $227 in new donations to his GiveSendGo account, with no new donations observed for Tuesday. SeanPaul “Long Island Audits” Reyes won Tuesday with $148.00 in new donations. No other campaigns received donations for the day.

This is a continuing news story.

[Correction: A previous version of this story called Josh Gray “Jeff.” We apologize for the error.]
