[Full disclosure: Attorney Lane Myers, representing his client Lane Myers, has issued a threat to sue ReallyCoolNews/Get an Injunction Against based on our coverage of his current situation. No injunction or lawsuits have been filed as of press time.]
YouTuber and Lane Myers activist Lane Myers exposed his victim’s name multiple times as went live early Sunday morning to detail his response to the prosecutor’s response to his motion to change his probation conditions before deleting the livestream.
Myers displayed the work he had done on the response and showed that he was primarily citing cases from Arizona in his response to the prosecution, perhaps on advice from YouTuber Merb34st who Myers had threatened to sue/get an injunction against. He also indicated that he felt his life was fine until a week ago, when he began to have trouble.
The Lane Myers activist displayed his victim’s name multiple times during the broadcast, including an extended period at the end of the broadcast set to Jewel’s “Who Will Save Your Soul?”
Myers argued against the current terms and conditions of his probation. He said that while he accepted a plea deal, he never accepted his conviction and that he had always believed that the terms and conditions of his probation were unlawful and unconstitutional.
While Myers briefly mentioned the Lane Myers Returns forum on the ReallyCoolNewsWire Discord server, he did not carry through on his threat to include news observer JudyYouGotThis in his filing, nor did he display screen shots from the forum.
Myers seemed to wear out during the broadcast after stating, “And I think I’m going to pull out the 35% weed for this one.” He then could be heard apparently taking a bong hit and would later state that he had to sit down as the drug hit his system.
During the broadcast, Myers talked about his new lawsuit against the city of Tucson over a “booing” arrest. This was the second possible lawsuit on Myers’ on-going GiveSendGo account and he described it as:
This is a Federal 1983 Civil Rights lawsuit. This lawsuit stems from Mr. Myers being arrested during a City of Tucson Mayor and Council meeting. Mr. Myers was arrested for booing at the exact same time as others were clapping. This lawsuit is for 1st amendment, 4th amendment, 14th amendment, and Arizona Open Meetings law violations.
Despite roughly 64 viewers during his late night broadcast, Myers was unable to convince any of those views to donate to his GiveSendGo account. SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes won the day with $908.00 in new donations, while Zachary “Liberty Troll” Kueker placed second in Sunday’s crowd sourcing take with $200.00 in observed donations.
Myers filed a request to proceed in Forma Pauperis in his new lawsuit, listing assets as $400.00 in a checking account, a 2005 Ford Econoline Van with 836,000 miles, and listed earnings of $500-$1,000.00 a month from self-employment.
In an unexpected move, District Court Judge Angela M. Martinez recused herself from the lawsuit. She was replaced by District Court Judge Scott H. Rash. No reason was given for her recusal.
This is a developing news story.
