YouTuber Harvey Freebird posted on his YouTube community page Thursday after he caused controversy this week when he was apparently inebriated or acting out of sorts on a livestream that he has since removed from his channel.
In the post, Freebird blamed a homeless person for hijacking his social media channels, spiking his drinks and his actions on his livestream.
Hello Everyone and thanks to all of my friends on YouTube that have relentlessly been calling and checking on me, I really appreciate it.
I’m going to try to explain what happened the best way I can in the best way that I can remember in regards to the live stream yesterday morning that everybody was concerned about.
I know everyone knows there is a lot of scams going around and I don’t ever fall for any of them, but I did fall for a scam a couple of days ago a man named Jack had hacked access to all of my social media accounts. I have recorded Jack once a few months ago while police had him detained. I gave him bike lights & I think he’s homeless and he hangs out here in this neighborhood all the time. Well, he showed up in my driveway a couple of days ago because he saw me standing outside. I gave him some more bike lights and I gave him some money to get some food. He asked me for my phone number and I gave it to him after just a couple of texts he sent me a very strange message and the message said that I needed to authorize or give permission to continue to text with Jack. I’ve never seen a message like that before, and so I clicked on the link because it said authorization to continue messaging but really what the link was is it gave him access to all of my social media accounts.
I was able to change my passwords and correct everything since I got the notifications and got to work immediately,
Sometime during all of this somebody spiked my drinks, whether it be my bottle of water or orange juice that I was drinking because several people kept hanging around who were affiliated with Jack. I kept telling Jack to leave & he would leave and show Backup 20 minutes later. He’d be snooping around my RV & stuff was coming up missing and I was having a mental crisis. I did call the Galveston County sheriffs department before I committed a crime and ended up in prison for a long time & they got rid of Jack and though they acknowledged that he had been there a couple of times they thought that the third time that I mentioned it that I was just imagining it and I probably could’ve been bc of the condition I was in and bc of all of the fraud & theft that occurred earlier had me paranoid. Anyway, I will say that the Galveston County sheriffs department handled this situation Well, they didn’t just arrest me and throw me in a cage. I feel like they could’ve if they really wanted to. They asked me to go to the hospital voluntarily because they could tell something wasn’t right with me. Everybody knew something wasn’t right with me. When I got ready to leave the hospital, the nurses and security and everybody flipped out told me I wasn’t allowed to leave because the police bought me there. They said I had to stay for 72 hours and I explained to them no I came here voluntarily and I’m leaving so they called the cops and the cops even told them yeah he can leave whenever he wants. He was not forced to go to the hospital .
When I did the live stream, the guy Jack was still in my driveway the whole time and there was a police car in the parking lot of the campground that I live at so I thought I was getting set up and going to jail and that’s why I went live because if I was gonna go to jail, I wanted everybody to see it. Plus this guy just refused to leave and just kept coming over. He may have even been contemplating on Robbing me I don’t know, but when you repeatedly asked someone to leave and they refuse to something’s not right, especially now that I know that he was already previously trespassed from this property.
When the police contacted my landlord about what was going on, my landlord informed them that Jack has a history of doing this and that he is actually trespassed and is not supposed to be on this property so maybe he’ll end up going to jail for trespassing who knows.
You know I’ve been live streaming on YouTube for four years now and everybody knows that this is out of character for me. This is why most of the time I stick to myself and I don’t trust anybody. And to all the people that want to make clips and memes and make fun of someone who was drugged and hacked and could’ve potentially been seriously hurt well let’s just say that that’s why your channels suck anyways and nobody watches it.
