Regan Benson Stops Near Daily Anti-Police Streams After Criticism by Direct D

Followers of YouTuber Regan Benson expressed concern about her recent lack of live streams following two weeks of near constant livestreams after her conviction of doxing a police officer last month and a livestream that was highly critical of the free-range grandmother and sometime advocate for the homeless by Christopher “Direct D” Ruff.

Ruff went live earlier this week with a stream entitled “Convicted of Doxxing a Cops Home Address – There Will Be More Like This” in which he called out Benson for her live streaming spree following said conviction.

Playing parts of one of the streams, Ruff listened impatiently as Benson attempted to make her case that the information about the police officer she was convicted of doxxing was “public information” and that the law covering sharing the information on a livestream was unconstitutional.

Ruff pointed out that her defense was similar to the defense offered by Lane Myers last year that ultimately proved unsuccessful and all but ended his budding career as a YouTube streamer.

Myers was convicted of doxing a public employee who is married to the a prosecutor who had previously prosecuted Myers. The YouTuber gave out her phone number multiple times and the court found him guilty of harassment despite his claims that he was distributing “publicly available information.”

Ruff warned that continued doxing of government employees and police officers home addresses on livestreams will result in more anti-doxing laws. He used the example of the growing number of so-called Halo laws across the country as another area where first amendment auditors’ protests backfired and resulted in new laws.

After a successful initial challenge of Halo laws in Arizona, the same sort of laws were modified and enacted in various states including Florida, Indiana and Texas. YouTuber Chuck Bronson was recently arrested for violating Florida’s law, while YouTuber Craig Hendry successfully challenged charges related to his alleged violation of Indiana’s version of the law.

For her part, Benson seems to be refocusing on showing less controversial parts of her advocacy, recently posting to her YouTube channel a non-adversarial conversation she had with a Denver police officer and a video where she helped a homeless woman after Denver police ignored her obvious medical issues.

She also seems to have stopped her near daily posting of AI-generated anti-police imagery and commentary, with her latest post ditching the AI imagery to criticize the landscaping in Denver.

Denver, Co

WELCOME TO THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF DENVER!

It’s a special 🔥H on earth.  Our politics are nothing more than forced taxation ‘n spend and you’re not even allowed to stand on a damn sidewalk.

Homeless? Go die.  Getting evicted? Go die.

Elderly and in need? Go die.  Relocating from another country? Everything is free for you courtesy of, Denver.

Violent crime? DPD would rather not be bothered. It’s dangerous.

They’d rather target, prosecute and arrest people that hurt their feelings with cameras and words, but only if you can be identified.

Oh and I almost forgot, Denver was just ordered by the court of appeals yesterday to pay $14M to protestors they violently assaulted.

Colorado= complete and total dumpster fire.

We will continue to monitor Benson’s YouTube activity and report updates as they happen.
