Angry Vet CELEBRATES Huge Win in Retrial for Maryland Trespassing Charges [Corrected]

Kevin “The Angry Vet” Soper celebrated his new found “not guilty” status with a “muckbang” Friday, eating Chik-fil-a food while updating his fans on his win in Maryland over trespassing charges he had previously been found guilty of and had served over 30 days in jail.

The charges stemmed from an incident last summer where a Harford County, Maryland, Sherrif’s deputy allegedly passed Soper at a high rate of speed and Soper confronted the deputy at his home.

Soper was convicted by a Judge of simple trespassing last year and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, serving most of his sentence, minus time for good behavior, before he was let out as he was appealing the verdict.

The Maryland resident claimed that the main witness in the case, Robert Burns, who is the father of deputy and actual home owner of the property where the trespassing occurred, did not appear at the first trial and the Judge ruled on her own without hearing from the main prosecution witness.

Soper was granted a new trial, where he said he was found not guilty of his peers as again, Robert Burns did not and officer Kyle Burns’s memory of the incident caused problems for the prosecution, resulting in the finding of Soper’s innocence by the jury.

It is noted that Soper’s story differs slightly from the story he gave after the actual incident. In his new version of events, he was respectful unless responding to negativity the entire time he was on the property.

The man he had previously identified as the romantic partner of the deputy was now identified as the deputy’s father, and Soper claimed that he was walking backwards off of the property during the confrontation with either man.

Soper now claimed that he was standing behind the powerlines and was nearly in the street when he was actually arrested for trespassing. This, according to Soper, indicated that he was on city property when he picked up the charges that led to his arrest and showed that he had clearly removed himself from the property despite being verbally assaulted by the home owner.

He also added that his brother lived in the general area and that he happened upon the police vehicle by chance and was not actively looking for the vehicle.

Soper promised multiple lawsuits related to his prosecution and took swings at other YouTubers including Jose “Chille” DeCastro and Regan Benson. He would later post a message on his YouTube channel’s community page mocking Benson as well.

The Navy and Coast Guard veteran also announced that he may be holding a raffle with the prize of a newly purchased chainsaw to raise funds for his Servicemen & Citizens For American Rights Society (SCARS) 501c3 organization.

Those following his threatened lawsuits noted that Soper has yet to take legal action against Spirit Airlines, who removed him from a flight last summer, and Wal-Mart, who trespassed him from a local store in his area in the same time period.

It is unclear if the YouTuber intends to follow through with legal action against either entity.

[Correction: The YouTube version of this story indicated that Soper was arrested at the scene of the incident. This was reported in error. He was arrested a few days later after a warrant was issued and carried out by police. We apologize for the error.]
