First Amendment entrepreneur Jose “Chille” DeCastro announced on his Saturday livestream that he would be abandoning his “Delete LawZ” branding to do a “complete rebrand” within the next 30 days.

DeCastro’s announcement came just weeks after he abandoned his widely popular “indestructible” trifold product and not as popular “5A Cop Card” product in favor of his new Fifth Amendment Auto Plaque, aka the “monofold.”

Sales of the product have been lackluster at best, according to sales figures provided by DeCastro’s YouVeGotBail.AI website. Those figures indicate that he’s sold seven individual units of the product, two double units of the product and five triple units of the product in roughly three weeks since making the product available.

The Jock Sock inventor blamed YouTube for his sales woes on Friday, indicating that it was a good product that is not getting enough promotion due to YouTube refusing to promote his videos in his now preferred widescreen format, which is partially prompting his decision to rebrand.

DeCastro partially blamed his recent negative comments towards Isreal for his recent viewership losses, with observers noting that he’s not losing subscribers, he simply isn’t drawing his subscribers to his livestreams.

He still has roughly 688,000 subscribers according to his social blade page, which only updates when he has gained or lost 1,000 viewers. However, he’s sat at that same 688,000 mark for at least the last 30 days.

According to Playboard, his most recent livestream – in horizontal format – has seen 3,800 views, 306 likes, and 69 comments. His concurrent viewership peaked at 148 viewers at the 16 minutes and 40 seconds mark into the broadcast and he earned $195.00 in super chat revenue from the broadcast.

This is indeed a far cry from his vertically formatted streams, which averaged viewership in the hundreds of thousands with his peak concurrent viewership in the low thousands.

DeCastro has expressed frustration with the vertical format as he has been unable to turn the incredible increases in viewership due to the videos being promoted to the shorts queue into returning viewers.

While other First Amendment auditing channels have suffered similar losses as YouTube has diminished the promotion of its long form queue, no one has been hit as hard as DeCastro, who previously went all-in on the vertical format with little to no financial or subscriber gains.

The failed Power Ranger lashed out on Saturday, telling his fans that there was no reason why he shouldn’t have one million total subscribers. He indicated that his message was strong and that his planned rebrand would give him a second chance to show the popularity of his product.

Observers noted that the diminutive YouTuber also announced that once his YouVeGotBail.AI product was fully functional, he would embark on a nation-wide auditing spree where he would be relying on the YouVeGotBail.AI services to bail him out of jail should his audits go awry.

This brought concerned responses from his viewers as YouVeGotBail.AI had previously been pitched as a crowd sourcing platform that would allow general users to access funds that would go towards their bail should they be arrested.

DeCastro’s pivot seemed to indicate that the product was now funding his bail should he get arrested, with the focus now lying on him having a source of funding for bail from his fans rather than the other way around. The YouTuber did not clarify this position by the end of the livestream.

He did indicate that he had major backing from his followers and repeated the tidbits that he had been working on the project for over a year, only delaying the project from fully launching due to capacity constraints of the original coding of the application.

DeCastro had previously given numbers that would indicate that he needed between 50,000 and 100,000 users to pay a monthly fee in upwards of $25.00 to fully fund the project.

He also has stated that he launched the YouVeGotBail.AI Fifth Amendment Auto Plaques in order to fund the launch of all the services that YouVeGotBail.AI would provide. It is unclear how abandoning his established brand will help at this time.

DeCastro also announced an imminent return to TikTok as part of his rebrand; claiming that he would be releasing instructional videos on the popular website as early as the start of this week.

The YouTuber’s announcement saw no upticks in earnings for his related GoFundMe campaigns as none of the campaigns that we follow saw gains for Sunday.

Monday saw $15.00 in gained value to Jonathan “Frauditor Troll” Hudon-Huneault’s Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit campaign due to exchange rate changes between CAD and USD.

No other campaigns that we follow saw donations for either day.

To wit, once chilli bought those numbers, they stay bought. He is just being cheap and not paying for the next 1/3 to hit a million subs.
