Just days after announcing that there was a global conspiracy by YouTube and others to kill his channel, Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s latest vertical livestream reached an amazing one million views on the platform for the nearly six-hour long broadcast.
The almost six-hour broadcast came just a day after DeCastro vowed on his previous livestream that he had to change. He said that he had to change his appearance and the verbiage he used in his videos as everything he did on YouTube was used against him when he went to trial in his civil cases.
On that previous livestream, he would use the acronym “JBTB” but had his audience say what it stood for (“Jack Boot Thug Pigs”) as he tried his best not to insult or degrade police officers. While he failed at times, he made a concerted effort not to go fully negative about police.
That practice went out the window early on during his Sunday broadcast.
DeCastro was triggered early on during his lengthy broadcast by negative comments in the side chat of the video. With his dander up, he began to snidely attack negative comments while embracing videos featuring scantily clad teenagers interacting with police officers.
According to metrics provided by Playboard.co, DeCastro’s video brought in $267.00 in super chat revenue and reached 3,530 concurrent viewers at peak. YouTube’s live data shows the video receiving 2,200 likes with just a handful of actual likes.
While the usual accusations of paid viewership and usage of bots have been made about the video, a nearly six-hour long video in the vertical stream would normally be exposed to massive amounts of viewers.
That said, the concurrent viewers tell the story. DeCastro’s 3,530 viewers at peak is a higher-than-normal number than his normal videos. Those viewers didn’t stick around, as his average viewership for the live itself was in the 500-800 live viewer range. We assume that post-live patterns remain the same, with viewers getting fed the video in their shorts feed and then not sticking around to interact with likes or comments.
For his efforts, DeCastro is expected to earn between $50.00 and $100.00 from one million views in the shorts feed at current rates. This shows that while he hit incredible numbers for his channel, in the end, vertical format payouts are about the money generated in super chat and other live interaction revenue and not revenue from viewership.
In more news related to DeCastro, the YouTuber received bad news last week as DeCastro received notice from Debra K. Kemi, the court clerk from the United States District Court Nevada District, that his lawsuit against John Doe defendants will be dismissed on March 21, 2026, unless he submits proof of service.
This lawsuit involves a Thanksgiving 2023 traffic incident in Nevada where DeCastro was briefly detained after making an illegal U-turn in front of police officers. The officers received a notation from the National Crime Information Center that DeCastro had “violent tendencies” and used the warning to justify his brief handcuffing.
The case is unusual as DeCastro did not identify any of the officers involved in the arrest in his initial filing, nor has he updated his filing to include anyone who can be served. The case has languished in the court since November.
While the case may face a dismissal without prejudice if DeCastro is unable to show service by the deadline, if this comes, the suit itself would be essentially dead as the two-year statute of limitations passed on November 21, 2025.
DeCastro will more than likely petition for an extension of his service date, but has yet to do so as of press time.
Finally, DeCastro’s GoFundMe was among those that did not bring in new donations for Monday.
The First Amendment Protection Agency won the day with $427.00 in new donations to his ILLEGAL ARREST DEFENSE FUND!!! He was followed by our own on-going Expenses fund, which took in $50.00. Frauditor Troll’s Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit brought in $9.00 in exchange rate adjusted earnings for the day.
No other campaigns that we follow brought in revenue for Monday.
