Jailed YouTuber and self-proclaimed historical figure Craig Hendry’s jail time may be extended now that Sullivan County, Indiana, has revoked his bond for new charges stemming from his stay in the Vermillion County Jail last year.

Hendry was incarcerated in Vermillion County last year after a late 2024 conviction for felony stalking and misdemeanor harassment. While he was incarcerated, Hendry described having issues with his incarceration which led to a failed federal lawsuit he brought against guards for allegedly not giving him due process after an altercation with guards.

Last month, before his lawsuit was dismissed, authorities chose to charge him with felony threatening and misdemeanor assault from incidents that apparently happened while he was incarcerated last year.

Details of both events are not readily available from the court documents; however, the description of the assault charges line up with those that would come from spitting on an official at the jail.

After Hendry served his time in Vermillion County last year, he was set to be held in Sullivan County for charges of Intimidation and disorderly conduct stemming from a September 2024 incident with police.

Hendry successfully crowd sourced for bond in that case while in jail and was released from jail in Vermillion County last year while on bond from Sullivan County. Because the charges from Vermillion County are new, even though the incidents occurred before he made bond in Sullivan County, bond was revoked by Sullivan County last week.

Greene County decided to drop the charge of unlawful encroachment against Hendry on January 30, 2026. This was after a related charge of resisting law enforcement/knowingly resist/obstruct was dropped in December.

Those charges stemmed from another 2024 incident where Hendry allegedly ignored instructions by a police officer to stay 25 feet away from a crime scene. The YouTuber refused to move and challenged an officer to measure where he was standing, and the officer used his iPhone to show that Hendry was 23 feet away from the scene.

The YouTuber is currently in jail in Greene County, Indiana, after being convicted of making a false complaint against a law enforcement officer last year. The original charges stemmed from a 2024 incident where Hendry made false statements at a city council meeting.

He is currently appealing the verdict of that case.

Hendry was sentenced in Greene County to 160 days in jail for those charges with 17 days time served. By current calculations and factoring in the possibility of a reduction in his sentence for good behavior, Hendry would be released in mid to late April.

Presumably he’d be released into custody of the Sullivan County after release, where he is set to stand trial on May 6, 2026.

Hendry is set to make an initial appearance in the new Vermillion County case on March 9, 2026, where he will appear via Zoom call.
