YouTuber Craig Hendry was found guilty of making a false complaint against a law enforcement officer on Tuesday following a one-day trial where the jury reportedly took less than ten minutes to deliver a verdict.
According to a livestream hosted by Erika Brown, Hendry’s girlfriend and mother of his two children and his younger brother Peter Hendry, the jury consisted of multiple people who knew witnesses, police and court staff from the small town of Linton, Indiana.
Brown and Hendry characterized most of the jury as “bootlickers” who lacked critical thinking skills. They said that jury members could not believe that there were corrupt police even though members of the police force had been tried and convicted in the past of various forms of corruption.
Neither assigned any blame to the elder Hendry, who is now facing up to 180 days in jail for his conviction of a class B misdemeanor. They both asserted that despite Hendry’s conviction, he was not in fact making a false police report at the city council meeting that led to his arrest and subsequent conviction.
Brown attempted to explain the convolution situation that led to Hendry’s arrest, starting with a 2022 incident where police apparently entered the house she was sharing with her boyfriend at the time.
Hendry’s car was parked in the driveway of their house when she returned home from dropping him at a friend’s house as his license had been suspended. She said that the front door was open and there seemed to be damage to the door frame.
Both of her pet cats had escaped from the house, and a neighbor had caught them and brought them inside his house until Brown returned home. That neighbor would later testify that he had heard a loud bang and police near Hendry’s front door on the day of the incident.
After checking the house for missing items, Brown then went to get Hendry and dropped him off at the house before going to spend the night at her father’s house. According to Brown, police later arrived at the house and arrested Hendry on an outstanding warrant.
In her version of the story, Hendry simply explained this and other encounters with police at the Linton City Council meeting when he was arrested for making the false report on an officer in 2024.
Brown expressed frustration with the verdict, as her youngest child was now 15 months old and Hendry had been in jail for nearly half her life. She said that Tuesday’s verdict also had a tremendous impact on her son, who asked the judge why his daddy was convicted and the judge coldly told him to ask his mother.
Peter Hendry blamed society and said that a lot of judges would be “burning in hell” when they died as they corruptly punished the innocent. He added that fans of his brother should redress their government by calling the courthouse to complain about the treatment of his brother.
Craig Hendry was taken into custody immediately following the verdict and will be sentenced on December 16, 2025.
He is also scheduled to go to trial in Sullivan County, Indiana, on March 10, 2025, for charges of felony intimidation, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor refusing to leave an emergency incident area.
His second set of charges out of Greene County, for misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and encroachment, has been postponed, with no set trial date.
This is a breaking news story.
