In what some considered a Thanksgiving miracle, YouTuber Glenn Cerio returned with a new video posted to his “Auditing the USA” channel featuring a shoplifting investigation near Shoreline, Washington.
While he didn’t appear directly on camera, Cerio’s health was again a noticeable issue as the rotund ex-convict huffed and puffed as he walked. At one point he was heard making noticeable snoring type sounds as he made his way through the parking lot after police had finished their direct investigation on the scene.
The video itself started with Cerio wandering through a parking lot where police were talking to a man with his apparent girlfriend standing near him. There were visible bottles of laundry detergent sitting on the back of a police car.
A backpack and a fabric shopping bag were lying on the ground and pool of what appeared to be laundry detergent seemed to be growing as the officers on scene picked up the discarded bag and backpack.
The witness was wrapping up with police as one of the officers said hello to Cerio. Cerio didn’t recognize the officer but exchanged jovial banter with the man for a minute before the officer returned to his duties.
Cerio verbally acknowledged his belief that the police officers from the Edmonds police department were a lot nicer than in the past. At one point commending them for being much more relaxed in their interactions with him.
He then went largely ignored as he moved around the parking lot. No suspects were visible, and at one point he mumbled to an officer that he thought the crime scene was from a bank robbery because of the proximity to a nearby bank.
No fussing. No fighting. No outbursts.
The Glenn Cerio of 2022, who brazenly challenged police officers to mortal combat is gone.
The Glenn Cerio of 2024, who tried to sue everyone for his own past transgressions is gone.
What is left is a shell of an auditor who can occasionally go full Karen, but, for most of his recent videos, prefers to stand silently observing like a ghost of auditing past, with no real auditing future, and a present filled with more concerns about his health than anything else.
Cerio ended the stream with a a walk through the parking lot, where the audible day time snoring sound could be heard before he passed a female police officer and asked if she lost her car. She gave him a puzzled look and said, “it’s right over there” before quickly moving past him.
Again, in the past, this would have been an extended confrontation with the officer, requiring intervention. But for today, the female officer walked to her car and didn’t think twice about leaving Cerio alone in the parking lot as she drove away without conflict.
The old Cerio is gone, all hail the new (and boring) shell of a man before us?
More likely, since he lost all of his lolsuits and ended up in jail for his troubles, he has grown up or grown weary of either pursuit? Perhaps a sign of early wisdom in not going back to jail? Just a thought.
