Speculation Abounds as DeCastro Files Mystery Suit

Jose “Chille” DeCastro announced to his YouTube community page on Tuesday that he had just mailed a new mysterious lawsuit which would arrive at its destination on Saturday, later commenting in a Wednesday livestream that he had “sued a bunch of cops” and pledged to punish someone for words spoken against him.

Immediately the internet speculated on the target of his lawsuit, with many remembering one of multiple Thanksgiving era traffic stops in the past. These seem to be the most logical to revisit given DeCastro’s recent history of filing lawsuits or filing motions in lawsuits just as key deadlines or statutes of limitations were set to run out.

In the incident most fans remember, DeCastro had stopped to speak to two motorcycle-based police officers near a gap in the highway marked “no U-Turn.” He then brazenly used the gap to perform a U-turn in front of the officers, resulting in a traffic stop.

As DeCastro was detained on the side of the road, one officer ran his license and a warning notified the officers that DeCastro had “violent tendencies.” DeCastro, who was acting erratically, was briefly handcuffed based on the warning before being released with traffic citations.

DeCastro had been pondering a lawsuit over this incident as far back of May of this year, before DeCastro ultimately filed two new lawsuits, one against a group of YouTubers who had insulted him three years ago, and another against the two judges who were involved in his 2024 conviction and acquittal of charges from a 2023 arrest in Las Vegas.

Other possibilities include suing the police from a Valentine’s Day incident in 2024, where DeCastro was arrested and charged for interfering with a crime scene, where he went to jail but later had the charges dropped.

That incident was listed with the U-Turn incident as another possible lawsuit back in May when DeCastro was discussing possible targets for future lawsuits.

A third, but unlikely, incident may also be the subject of the lawsuit from this summer. DeCastro had a run in with a police officer outside of a Safeway Supermarket. The August incident came during DeCastro’s brief visit to the nation’s capital in order to document the so-called “Trump Takeover.”

DeCastro was simply asked to step away from the doors of the supermarket as police were in the process of arresting a shoplifter. The diminutive YouTuber escalated the situation and claimed that he would get his video of the confrontation played on CNN and the cop fired.

Neither of his boasts came true in the following days.

With fans and foes alike speculating on the target of his new lawsuit, the same groups are also wondering what happened to DeCastro.

2025 was supposed to be DeCastro’s year. He had what he claimed to be a solid start to the year, recovering exactly one year ago from a “brain cloud” that had haunted him for most of 2024 following his incarceration.

After getting his channel back in the aftermath of a hack by John “Irish Demon” O’Day, DeCastro seemed focus on getting his “Constitution HQ” board game into stores by holiday 2025 and within school systems on the east coast soon after.

But DeCastro’s dreams seemed to go sideways as he was unable to focus on one project at a time and, more importantly, failed to get the $100,000.00 in financing he needed to fund the game.

There have been rumbling behind the scenes all year about DeCastro facing financial difficulties and the idea that if he only won one of his many outstanding lawsuits, he’d have a set future to move forward.

Besides his board game, DeCastro reportedly has a projected tentatively called “You’ve Got Bail” where he would crowd source bond for anyone who signed up for the monthly service.

While not intended to replace standard bail bondsman services, and the regulations and licensing issues related to those services, DeCastro would be eventually sitting on a lucrative pile of money each money intended to fund bond for those who needed it, but also to help fund his other projects.

DeCastro has had significant setbacks, however. His failure to force Dale “Lackluster” Hiller, one of the biggest first amendment related YouTubers, into a quick settlement – before even serving Hiller with the lawsuit – seemed to throw him off of his plans.

This was followed by his loss to Michael “Blue Bacon” Pierattini in California Superior Court. DeCastro ended up owing Pierattini $15,000.00 in sanctions as part of the loss, continuing what some have said is his financial spiral.

While DeCastro is currently appealing the decisions and the sanctions, another under the wire filing as his window to appeal was running out, his victory in the appeal and overturning of the sanctions is unlikely.

DeCastro also recently revealed that he refused a $10,000.00 offer to settle his long-running lawsuit against the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The lawsuit, which was filed in 2023, is expected to go to trial in February of 2026.

Finally, DeCastro recently watched as perceived rival SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes achieved the goal of having 1,000,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel. DeCastro had made a pledge to achieve the same goal and regularly outdraws Reyes in performance of his near nightly three-hour rants about the police.

His inability to connect with the larger YouTube audience, his absolute failures in fundraising and his setbacks with all of the projects that he has been involved with this year do not bode well for the future lawsuit that remains to be filed.

Time will tell if the suit leads to the turnaround and quick payout that DeCastro is seeking.

This is an on-going news story.

Thank you to YouTube user shinershawn6053, who alerted us to the fact that DeCastro’s tracking number was visible on the photo he shared on his community page.

The package’s destination is Las Vegas and is expected to be delivered in the afternoon of November 21, 2025.

We will update our coverage as soon as the documents are filed in PACER.
