SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes graced his fans with a new livestream on Tuesday, hailing a gigantic win in his on-going lawsuit against former Connecticut State Trooper Bryan Fahey that resulted in… not exactly what he was talking about?

Backing up, for those new to the on-going saga, it goes back further than the incident at Fahey’s home over the summer of this year. In fact, it starts with an unrelated officer in an initially unrelated incident back in 2021 in Connecticut.

Reyes is suing over an incident at Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut in 2021 where he was stopped by TSA agents who called police when he refused to identify himself. He was then detained by Connecticut State Trooper Charles Lavoie.

During his detainment, Lavoie’s supervisor became involved, and Reyes was eventually freed from detainment and resumed recording. That supervisor referred Reyes to the professional standards unit of the State Police.

That same day, Reyes went to the Connecticut State Police headquarters to make a complaint, he was greeted by an officer who said that Reyes was not permitted to film inside the building. That officer brought in Fahey to speak to Reyes, who was now filming outside the building.

Fahey and Reyes went back and forth, trading barbs and Fahey gave Reyes instructions on how to contact Internal Affairs as they were not located in the building. After a testy exchange, Fahey and Reyes got into a scuffle that resulted in Fahey tossing Reyes’ phone aside.

The men parted ways and no charges were filed.

Two years later, Reyes returned to the building to seek Fahey’s disciplinary records. Fahey was in the lobby of the building when Reyes arrived and blocked Reyes from entering the building.

Fahey pushed Reyes away from the door, grabbed Reyes’ phone, shut it off and put it in Reyes’ pocket. After Fahey left, Reyes obtained access to the building from another officer.

Reyes subsequently sued over both his detainment at the airport and the two incidents with Fahey at the police headquarters. This week, Judge Michael P. Shea ruled on a motion to dismiss parts of the case due to qualified immunity claims by Lavoie and Fahey.

Judge Shea agreed to dismiss the first amendment related charges against Lavoie for the 2021 incident at the airport. In his ruling, he said that essentially at the time of the incident there was no clearly established law recognizing a right to video-record at a TSA security checkpoint.

While the laws have been clarified since the incident, Lavoie was found to have been acting properly during the incident based on what was legal at the time.

The Judge ruled against Fahey, however, with Fahey claiming qualified immunity covered the two incidents that occurred outside of the Connecticut State Police Headquarters.

Contrary to public belief, Shea’s ruling had nothing to do with Fahey’s subsequent retirement from the police force. Fahey, though unsuccessful in fighting the two specific charges, is still entitled to qualified immunity protection for incidents that happened while he was on active duty.

Judge Shea ruled that the First Amendment retaliation claims against Fahey could stand as they occurred in a public forum, outside of the building. Fahey’s aggressiveness and animus towards Reyes was noted in the ruling.

Two days after Judge Shea’s ruling, the parties filed jointly to delay the lawsuit from proceeding until thirty days after the resolution of the current criminal charges faced by Fahey in Reyes from the incident at Fahey’s house earlier this summer.

Reyes, knowing Fahey’s on-going aggressiveness towards him, made the inexplicable decision to take his electronic billboard and a cameraman to Fahey’s property to “interview” the officer in July.

The YouTuber avoided “private road” signs and walked to Fahey’s house, knocked on the door and the resulting confrontation resulted in (eventual) charges for both men.

Reyes has made $54,000.00 in GoFundMe donations off the incident, portraying himself as a victim and largely ignoring the on-going lawsuit and the circumstances that led to his willing choice to go to Fahey’s house.

Judge Shea wasn’t keen on placing the case into limbo depending on the pending charges against both men. Instead, on Friday he issued the following order:

10/03/2025    47     ORDER: The consent motion to stay is GRANTED in part and DENIED in part. The Court is loath simply to “stay” a case when it has no control over the parallel pending criminal cases; but closing the case administratively will have the same effect and, from the parties’ standpoint, will operate no differently from a stay. Therefore, the Clerk is instructed to close this case administratively but not dismiss it. Either party may move to reopen the case at any time once the two criminal cases referred to in the motion have resolved.

Reyes’ coverage of Monday’s ruling also saw a massive fundraising win for the YouTuber.

Wednesday saw huge gains based on Reyes’ livestreams for his Help Me Fight These Unlawful Charges & Injustice fund, which pulled in $870.00 and took first place in the fundraising race for the day.

Second place went to his Support The Fight Against Tyranny & Corruption fund, which took in $43.00, while third place went to Zachary “Liberty Troll” Kueker’s Support the Fight for Our Constitutional Rights fund, which took in $31.00.

Thursday’s fundraising crown again went to Reyes as the Help Me Fight These Unlawful Charges & Injustice fund took in $30.00 for the day.

Friday’s crown was taken by Kueker’s Support the Fight for Our Constitutional Rights fund in a surprise win and a $48.00 take. Reyes took second place as the Help Me Fight These Unlawful Charges & Injustice fund took in $10.00.

Saturday again went to Reyes’ the Help Me Fight These Unlawful Charges & Injustice fund which took in $10.00 for the day.

No other funds that we follow saw donations for the same period.
