Jose “Chille” DeCastro has taken the lead out of all the auditors we cover for August as we approach mid-month, as he has raised $150.00 for a fund that no longer needs to be funded.
DeCastro’s “Legal Defense Fund Crime Scene Tape Illegal Arrest” fund was to help him defend against his second batch of obstruction charges in Las Vegas from a February 2024 arrest and had been mostly inactive until a big donation earlier in the month.
The case itself was dropped last week as the district attorney declined to prosecute, with DeCastro indicating that he may file a civil suit to seek monetary damages from the arresting officers as he felt that he could have their qualified immunity stripped in the case.
SeanPaul “Long Island Audits” Reyes’ “Support the Fight Against Tyranny & Corruption!” campaign came in second for the auditing category with a $110.00 take for mid-month after showing some random activity.
This fund appears to be LIA’s go-to fund for promotion as it randomly receives donations when nothing else is going on. It has helped him win the day on multiple occasions over the past two month with again, seemingly randomly donations on days where he hasn’t otherwise put out a video of note.
Rounding out the pack is Crag Hendry’s “To Support Craig’s Work” campaign, with a single random $100.00 donation bringing him into third place for the month. Unlike the other two campaigns above him, Hendry does seem to need the cash to fund his on-going attacks on the legal system.
But there you have it for mid-month, three campaigns that saw donations out of all the auditors. It’s a continuing worrisome sign for the market as it can’t all be tied to lack of promotion on the part of those running campaigns.
BZ Watchdog, new to the list and with the disadvantage of 10 days of data, should have seen more than just Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s pledge of $100.00 to get the campaign started by now.
The ride sharing driver and YouTuber has massive exposure on DeCastro’s channel along with a support role on Michael Ehline’s channel and there’s no reason his fund is sitting where it is other than apathy on the part of his viewers.
His exposure dwarfs our own exposure, and our own on-going expenses account has taken the overall lead for the month (for all categories) with $178.00 donated at mid-month. While we do have dedicated doners and promote our fund regularly, there’s no reason we should be leading the overall pack for the month when so many big-name funds are involved.
We’ll continue to monitor the markets to see if things rebound for the month but with so many big funds putting up goose eggs for the month already (including Jose “Chille” DeCastro’s fund to sue Justice of the Peace Anne Zimmerman), it may be a challenge to rebound before the month is over.
