The diminutive YouTuber known as Jose “Chille” DeCastro returned to livestreaming on Friday with a 20-minute look at anti-police videos and with a cryptic update to the status of his board game.
DeCastro started the week with news that he had finished copyrighting and patenting his Constitution HQ board game and that he would immediately be able to showcase it on a livestream.
In typical DeCastro fashion, the livestream showcasing his work has been delayed each day until DeCastro finally admitted on Friday that he didn’t have an actual assembled version of the game to distribute but was going to finish the “Teacher’s Edition” of the game “tonight” and planned to teach it over the weekend.
The delay may come as DeCastro is focusing on his latest legal action as he has teamed up with that Randall S. “The Unhinged Attorney” Newman, Esq., to have a subpoena issued against Google/YouTube for YouTuber Irish Demon’s channel information.
A subpoena request is not a lawsuit against Google/YouTube. It’s a legal step in seeking the channel information to be used in further legal action. Google/YouTube has not been named in any of the lawsuits Newman has filed on behalf of his clients.
Unlike the Blake Lively attempt at subpoenaing creator information from Google/YouTube, which is making rounds due to a Perez Hilton video, Newman’s filings tend to be done in the proper venue (Northern District of California) and are limited in scope of what they’re requesting.
Google/YouTube is still within the response timeframe for replying to Newman’s current crop of requests. It is possible that they comply with the information requested, and if so, that information is to be kept confidential.
It’s unclear what motivated DeCastro to enter the current fray of First Amendment auditors protecting their copyright through legal means. DeCastro had pretty much killed the market of those who would profit off of restreaming his content back in 2022, with a series of copyright strikes against YouTubers that effectively made his content off limits to most streamers.
Only streamers from outside of the United States such as Irish Demon or the Welsh News Network, who flaunted their supposed immunity from copyright claims by their presence overseas, continued featuring DeCastro’s content post-2022.
The Welsh News Network YouTube channel was recently deleted by YouTube on copyright grounds. Owner Daniel Jones issued a statement blaming DeCastro for the removal. DeCastro has since denied taking action against the channel.
Public outcry has been mixed with more folks taking issue with DeCastro’s controversial attorney, that Randall S. “The Unhinged Attorney” Newman, Esq., then DeCastro himself. As seen in interactions on the ReallyCoolNewsWire discord server, Newman courts controversy in defense of his lawsuits on behalf of DeCastro, Christopher “Denver Metro Audits” Cordova and Zachary “Liberty Troll” Kueker.
DeCastro has been relegated to bit player in his own narrative and actually lost status as a threat when he issued a statement denying the WNN takedown. While having a “meh” status to the general public in his current state, it remains to be seen how public perception will change as DeCastro pursuits an apparent copyright infringement case against Irish Demon.
The apathy by DeCastro towards his fans reflected in their continued apathy towards his various GoFundMe campaign as Saturday ended yet another week without a recorded donation for his Time to Sue the corrupt Unprincipled Judge Ann Zimmerman fund.
Saturday’s victory went to SeanPaul “Long Island Audit” Reyes’s Stand with me to Hold Bryan Fahey Accountable fund, which pulled in $320.00 in new donations. His Support the Fight Against Tyranny & Corruption campaign came in second place for Friday, with a $108.00 donation. Liberty Troll’s Support the Fight for Our Constitutional Rights campaign came in third place with a $15.00 donation.
The pre-sales counter for DeCastro’s Constitutional HQ board game remains at 9998 as of Saturday morning.
Correction: A previous version of this article referred to Irish Demon living in the UK. While Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, The Republic of Ireland, where Demon lives, is not part of the UK.
We apologize for the error.
