Joshua “Accountability for All” Abrams livestreamed about the lawsuit filed against him by Jose “Chille” DeCastro Wednesday night, prompting DeCastro to go live with his own follow up livestream to correct issues he had with Abrams’ comments and threaten further legal action.

Abrams, along with Kate Peter of the Masshole Troll Mafia and Dale “Lackluster” Hiller, is the target of a defamation lawsuit filed by DeCastro over comments the trio made about DeCastro on a livestream three years ago.

DeCastro’s original filing in the case incorrectly stated that the livestream happened on June 1, 2022, which would have been outside of the statute of limitations to take action in Massachusetts. He has since been granted permission to update the filing to change the date to June 10, 2022, which would now be a few days within the statute of limitations to file the lawsuit.

Abrams’ lawsuit focused on his attempt to raise roughly $5,000.00 from his fans to help pay for a lawyer to defend him from DeCastro’s charges. He indicated that he and Hiller had talked and agreed to be represented by the same lawyer, but he needed to put $5,000.00 down for the retainer quickly.

The YouTuber said that money had been tight as he was experiencing his worst month as a YouTuber in years, and that he had a new baby along with a 12-year-old to support at home.

Abrams then went through the incident that sparked DeCastro’s outrage, a Boston area Memorial Day Parade in 2022 where DeCastro allegedly assaulted Kate Peter multiple times during the event.

Standing by his criticism of DeCastro, and refusing to say Peter’s name, Abrams noted that DeCastro’s channel has grown from 30,000 subscribers in 2022 to over 650,000 subscribers in the past three years. While Abrams said that most of those subscribers were paid for, he could not be held accountable for destroying DeCastro’s reputation or halting his “meteoric rise in the community.”

DeCastro’s take was, predictably, different from Abrams’ as he immediately threatened to add new causes of action against Abrams when he filed his first amended complaint in the case.

The diminutive YouTuber accused Abrams of highly editing his footage of the Memorial Day parade and assured his fans that Kate Peter was the aggressor and “walked on his heels” during the parade, which eventually resulted in him blindly shoving Peter.

He then turned his attention to Hiller, pleading with the YouTuber to recant his statements and agree to a “proper” settlement of the case. DeCastro pledged that if Hiller was working to work with him, he would be released from the lawsuit as painlessly as possible.

DeCastro used criticism of Abrams by Aidan “Turtleboy” Kearney and Amagansett Press as his proof that Abrams was incredibly disliked by the first amendment auditing community. He said that Abrams has a criminal history that included violence against women, where DeCastro himself had no criminal history nor accusations of violence in his past.

He promised that he would hound Kate Peter and Abrams with lawsuits until he received a judgment against them. He further stated that if he received a judgment against Peter in his California Superior Court based lawsuit, he would then drop her from the new lawsuit in Federal Court.

DeCastro then apparently contradicted himself as he blamed the gathering of YouTubers who took part in the livestream for the troubles he faced in 2022. This contradicted his previous claims in the California Superior Court ase that the problems he faced in 2022 were the sole responsibility of Peter and members of her so-called “Troll Mafia.”

In related news, the minute notes from a hearing in that California Superior Court lawsuit were released on Wednesday. DeCastro is currently suing Peter, Team Skeptic, Daniel Clement and Michael “Blue Bacon” Pierattini for various activities he says that the undertook against him over the spring and summer of 2022.

The minutes of the May 29 hearing indicated that the Court took the Hearing on Motion for Summary Judgment, Hearing on Motion for Sanctions, and Hearing on Motion to Vacate or Strike Request for Dismissal Without Prejudice under submission.

It also set a July 14, 2025, court date for a Trial Setting Conference and noted that the Conference was in regards to DeCastro’s allegations against Peter and none of the other defendants.

Official rulings on the hearings that are under advisement has not been released as of press time.
