Jubilation was in the air in Englewood, Colorado, on Thursday during YouTuber and free speech activist Regan Benson celebrated the news that fellow activist Luis “Real Constitutional Upholders” Johnson had been found not guilty of disorderly conduct charges.
Benson featured Johnson on her livestream and announced that the man may be suing the city of Englewood for wrongful prosecution. She said that this was another win for Johnson, a second amendment advocate, who was charged with disorderly conduct for carrying his gun in a case while in public.
The YouTuber further claimed that Englewood that an Englewood police officer who had been featured in her previous video from earlier in the week had been proven to have acted illegally in the arrest of Johson. She implied that the officer was a drone and incapable of doing anything more than following orders.
Benson took the opportunity to call Englewood City Attorney Tamara Niles a “stupid bitch,” and chastised the city attorney’s role in the filing of multiple charges against Johnson. She called Johnson an upstanding person, then strangely insulted her own children, who Benson said may have been “lost in the system.”
Johnson stated that he was still awaiting the return of his firearms after his victories in court. He said that he was in a strange situation where an Englewood police officer has a protection order against him, preventing him from being in the presence of that officer.
Since the officer works at the police station, and Johnson needs to go to said police station for the return of his weapons, he can’t legally seek their return in person at this time. Benson laughed at the situation, claiming it was just another attempt by Englewood to punish Johnson.
While Johnson awaited a ride home from the courthouse, Benson turned her attention to the case of Sara O’Neal, a woman involved in a situation where her great grandfather, who had previously adopted her as a daughter, had his home seized by Englewood police.
Sara’s recent attempts to have Englewood police accompany her into the house to retrieve belongings were cancelled by police for unspecified reasons. While Sara had been able to support herself since the seizing of the house, her great grandfather was placed in a nursing home and another relative was made homeless as all of her belongings are still in the house.
Benson promised a new wave of lawsuits would be coming against the city of Englewood on behalf of Sarah O’Neal and Luis Johnson. She offered no updates to her own federal lawsuit against the city, other than stating her continued belief that Niles and other government workers were idiots.
The YouTuber ended the livestream by showing off her brand-new Mazda SUV. She said that the purchase was overdo and showed off the SUV’s leather seats and sunroof as proof that she was doing pretty well for someone who “doesn’t have a job.”
