In a totally unexpected move, Floyd Wallace returned to the land of fundraising Wednesday morning, holding a $75.00 fundraiser after promising that he’d limit his fundraisers for the near future and spending most of Tuesday focusing on personal loan sessions.
Wallace’s personal loan strategy promised that he’d double the amount given to him in three weeks’ time as he expected to be fully working at his job at UPS by then and could afford to pay back all accepted loans for that rate.
That was, of course, a statement and a promise made before he left for Omaha, Nebraska, his future new home, and before he even applied for the job at the UPS distribution center. While UPS (which replaced a meat packing plant in his latest story) does have a history of hiring felons, obtaining a job as a felon would be on a case-by-case basis.
Wallace was broadcasting from a hotel room paid for by one of his fans. He had complained about having “messed up” his air mattress before throwing it out and having nothing to sleep on in his now empty apartment.
He had not left for Nebraska as he claimed that the repair shop needed one more part before the car would be “done” and that he’d pick it up later today and make most of the drive to Nebraska.
It was unclear exactly what Wallace was fundraising for as the $75.00 fundraising effort was to pay for the part, at times, insurance for his car, at other times, and gas money whenever he remembered it.
Wallace did pushups and squats on camera to help raise money, eventually getting enough donations to raise a sweat. He made the final $15.00 for a personal loan that he promised he’d pay back $30.00 “next week.”
The YouTuber return to fundraising despite promising not to fundraise brought severe criticism from his fans in his YouTube live chat. His fans have already nicknamed him “Scammer” Floyd Wallace based on the number of untruths they have apparently caught him in over the years.
Addressing his travel plans, he wondered if he had previously been banned from the Philippines and reaffirmed that he would be raising at least $10,000.00 via savings and GoFundMe donations to travel there. He said that Thailand and Cambodia would be his alternative travel destinations.
According to Wallace, when traveling to Asia, everything needs to be planned in advance, unlike South America, where he literally could come and go as he pleased. He also stated that he was “talking to a girl” who would serve as both a translator and guide while in the Philippines and would be featured on future videos.
Wallace was expected to pick up his car later today and says he can make I most of the way to his cousin’s place in Omaha tonight. Since he “doesn’t drive at night,” he’ll sleep in his car if he can’t make it all the way there.
The YouTuber is expected to go live again later today.
